Description

We are looking for an outstanding engineering intern who combine highly technical, research and analytical capabilities. As a member of Maps organisation, you will be given the opportunity to contribute improving software quality, analysing and researching user behaviour base on usage big data. This position requires a self-motivated individual with strong problem solving skills who can contribute in a dynamic team environment

Requirements

• Master or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent
• Strong Computer Science fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, problem solving and complexity analysis
• Strong programming skills with at least one object oriented programming language
• Experience in big data projects/platforms, excellent knowledge of relational database and Hive
• Experience with machine learning technologies, predictive modelling, customer profiling, hypothesis testing and recommender systems
• Highly motivated, organized and a “can-do” attitude
• Fluent communication in English
• Must be able to work 32+ hours a week throughout the internship program
• GIS related research will be a plus
• Thorough knowledge of iOS and Mac OS X will be a plus
